So will CIA Pop and Buford pull one out of their arse? Make a deal this offseason to put our worries to rest?

You decide.

Huge trade? No. There will be other signings and transactions, but nothing huge.

Try looking at the top half, it turns on the lightbulb.

I saw it. I don't mean to be a dick. Just a weak thread imo.

Spurs dont have the assets to make a huge trade, unless they are willing to give up duncan.

Yes, we didn't have enough 6'10 and up white jump shooting power forwards. That's why we acquired Austin Croshere which was important because he brings nothing like what KVH and Dirk bring to us. Now that Troy Murphy is on the block our team will be complete. Our goal is to have 4 guys like that even if none of them can guard anybody.

Spurs really are not good traders in terms of bringing in talent to improve the team-- actually, they are not all that great at FA signings either. Most don't work out. Primarily, they draft well.

I voted "no" because I only consider it to be a huge trade if it involves Duncan, Ginobili or Parker. I just cannot fathom that happening. No way.

How do you figure they will do something big when they won't trade Duncan Parker or Manu?

Exactly, I've been saying this for years. What good trades have they made?
Claxton? Only 1 year in SA Muhammed? Turned out not to work out
And the free agents have never been nothing more than role players. Not a big splash in the fa market.

They waited 3 years not making moves to save the cap space and ended up with Rasho as the big fa acquisition.

I'm hoping the Spurs have something already done but are waiting till the 12th to announce it. No big trade but something that will address one or two of our needs.

In reality, I voted for summer campers and the Spurs roll with that.

I'm thinking the Al Harrington situation changes things. It might freeze up the whole market until it's resolved.

I've voted for a big thing. We are able to get a very good player without trading Parker, Duncan or Manu.

We have the thing that has the more value in the nba today : expiring contracts (Williams) or soon to expire contracts (Barry and Oberto).
Holt is not that cheap and I think that he is ready to take a 4th big contract.

No trade. It will just be scrubs and the remaining years of the trio result to team implosion. A year ago I was thinking this team was building for a dynasty but now their building for the fucking future. Man this is really sad a fucking nightmare is becoming a reality with this team. :madrun
