Raptors’ Pape Sow Has Neck Surgery
(July 7, 2006) -- The Toronto Raptors announced Friday that forward Pape Sow had successful surgery Thursday evening to a repair a fracture of the C6 vertebrae in his neck.
The surgery was performed by orthopaedic spine surgeon Dr. Jaswinder Grover and neurosurgeon Dr. Albert Capanna at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas.
Sow sustained the injury during Tuesday's team practice in preparation for the Toshiba Vegas Summer League.
No timetable has been set for his return to the team.
