In '97 Jordan had been in the leage 12 years. I agree that there is nobody in the league today that compares to Jordan with 12 years of experience. In other news, sky believed to be blue. :rolleyes

i dont understand why some ppl hate lebron. he is not the first person to wear jordan's number...and he never said "hey..i'm lebron...praise me!" the kid's game speaks for itself. there will never be another MJ...but there also will never be another lebron when it is all said and done

I like Lebron a lot just not when they compare him to MJ. The only thing those two got in common is they're both black. MJ won a DPOY award. For a perimeter to do all the things he does on offense and still have the energy to run all over the court and get steals and blocks (Jordan holds the record for most blocks in a season, most blocks per game in a season, and most blocks in a career by a guard) combined with all the offensive numbers and records he put up, that is one of the most amazing things in all of sports to me. A big guy can win a DPOY award by working in a small area in the paint. A perimeter guy has to expend of ton of energy running all over the court shutting down players, getting steals, and blocking shots. Jerry West said over and over during his career he thought he was the best defensive player in the league. He played defense like Bruce Bowen and Michael Cooper and was the best offensive player maybe ever that's just ridiculous.

Lebron is at best an average defensive player. However I do like him a lot: him and Wade just seem like really good guys. They both seem like they have a good head on their shoulders. I really couldn't imagine them giving their coaches problems or getting in trouble off the court. I mean how could you not like Lebron or Wade? Especially considering they haven't really gone to battle with the Spurs. (Once or if they play the Spurs in the playoffs I'll probably start hating them just human nature.)

Chosen One? No?

James is almost as much of a whiny bitch as Jordan, though.

james did not want the ball late in game
writers even say he needs to learn to take the 4 quarter of more

He's 22 years old.

WTF was MJ doing at 22? Not being clutch in the fourth qt. of NBA games, that's for sure.

No question Carmello wants the ball in his hands at the end of the game more than Lebron...

There will never be another Jordan, for that matter there will never be another Jack Haley, the real question is will there ever be anyone better?

Jordan is at the line to win the game against the Cavs. He misses the first, but drains number two for the victory. Final: 116-115

I was, because I could care less what Jordan was doing at the age of 22.

I was... 1 year old when Jordan was 22.

Forgive me for not knowing Jordan hit two free throws with five seconds left againsts Indiana. I was probably most concerned with taking shit in my diaper.

But hey, I could be Whottt and pretend to know what the fuck I was saying.

Kobe and LeBron are more like Jordan than anyone. No one can be exactly like MJ. However, I expect Kobe to win one more ring at least and I bet LeBron wins at least 2.

I don't see Kobe or Lebron winning one for 3 years at least with the Heat, Spurs, Mavs, and maybe Suns still around.

No one in the game today is even close to MJ. There have been and are players with as much or more talent than MJ but none with the total package of talent, desire, discipline and competitiveness. Jordan was a freak! That doesn't mean that there will never be someone as good or better than MJ and ya never know...it could end up being LeBron & Wade. Jordan wasn't considered to be great until he had played several years in the NBA. He didn't even win a title for several years.

That game against the Jazz while having a high temp was amazing. When Pippen had to literally carry MJ off the court, it was then MJ had my respect.

Of course, I HATED the jazz then, esp malone and stockton. I loved it when Rodman tripped Malone, then Rodman staring at Malone while someone was shooting freethrows. I thought Rodman got in Malone's head that series, I loved it!
