Too me it seems like it comes down to blacks, hispanics, females, the poor and white hippies (Democrats) against whites, the rich, veterans and hicks (Republicans).
Am I right or am I right :)

Not entirely...I think you will find that on average the richest people in the US are Democrats. Rich individuals tend to support the Democratic party while wealthy industries tend to support the Republicans.
Bill Gates traditionally contributes more money to the Democratic party than the Republican...until this election...he supported McCain in this election and has now thrown his support to Bush.
But other than Forbes...the wealthiest people in the US...
Dell
Ted Turner
Oprah
Liberal Hollywood...Democrats...
And I'm not totally sure hispanics are totally the domain of the Democratic party anymore. There are a lot of very patriotic hispanics and I know a lot of them that are staunch Republicans, obviously the Republican parties stance on Religion and Abortion plays a big factor in this switch...I also see more Black Republicans than I have ever seen before. I'm sure the majority of those groups are still Democrats but, especially with hispanics, I don't think it's as one sided as it used to be.
Vietnamese Americans have always had a tremendous Republican slant in their voting and are also very patriotic as well.
In the 2000 elections there was a brief fluke in which the majority of Arab Americans supported Bush(I wonder why, you'd think they hate his father)...but now they are expected to realign with the Democratic Party(well the terroristic ones will anyway).

They had a long talk on CNN about how the african American demographic was sliding to Bush, and explained that's why Hanoi Boy had brought Jesse Jackson on - to court that vote.

As an aside.....I saw Jesse Jackson in a post-debate (#1) interview and didn't understand a damn thing he was trying to say. :fro

This is a gross under-simplification.
It's the people (Democrats) versus the corporations (Republicans)

I'm a person, not a corporation...

Whottt bro, if you don't think that blacks and hispanics mostly vote democratic then you are living in another universe. I don't have the stats handy but I'm sure that it is overwhelming. Also to add to my little breakdown is that old people vote republican and young people vote democratic. Some things are just the way they are.....................

I do think the majority of blacks and hispanics are Democrats. I just don't think it's as one sided as it used to be. A lot of media outlets have said research indicates Bush is attracting the black vote like no Republican President before him. And I personally know a lot of hispanic Republicans. I know a lot of them that have American Flags hanging in their front yards. I know quite a few of them that are proud members of the US millitary.
I do not think this trend is because Bush is a great speaker...I think it's because the Republicans are the more patriotic party these days...and I think hispanics and blacks are gravitating towards the Republican Party out of patriotism more than anything.
You have to realize, regardless of what domestic issues have encouraged minorities to be largely democratic voters historically, they got attacked on Sept 11th as well. It was their home that got attacked...It is their home towns that could potentially get nuked by a suicide bomber...
It's really no different than America has always been...minorities tend to makeup the poorest sections of the population...Patriotism has always run strongest in the poorest sections of America..our military has always been made up of the poorest sections of America. A huge segment of our military are minorities. This is no different than the heavy participation of Irish Americans in WWI and the Italian Americans in WWII, patriotically and militarily.
