I ran into Nikoloz Tskitishvili yesterday at a gym here in Phoenix. I went up to the guy and we talked about his free agency a little bit. After I told him I'm a Spurs fan, he said: "They offered me (a contract), but we'll see."

P.S. Don't shoot the messenger....

What's the record for most teams played on by one player in a career? Tskitishvili stands to break it. He's still young. The Spurs just want to do their part early on.

I ran into Tim and Bowen at IHOP once and Tony at a gas station, and you're doubting he met an NBA player at a gym?

Let's hope it's just for training camp or that he will turn it down. I don't see what use Spurs can do of Tskitishvili.

We can trade Skita for Tim Derk for Cap Space, because Derk was retired, but Skita isnīt funny, so the trade canīt work

Hopefully Skita was just trying to brag and the Spurs didn't really offer him a guaranteed contract or anything.

I believe that they would bring him in for a workout, but even Portland wasn't stupid enough to give him a guarantee.

Interesting. I took a pretty big Tskitishvili at a gym in Phoenix once. Coincidence, I think not.

Since this has turned into a "What cheap places have you run into members of the Spurs" thread, I saw R.C. Buford entering the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Austin Highway not long ago.

I believe that he just denounced the thread starters claim that he met an NBA player at a gym.

I think you got it backwards. I think Tskitish offered them money to let him sit on the end of our bench.

I'm thinking if anyone offers Skita a guaranteed contract, there's no "we'll see" involved.

If it was still under discussion, I'm guessing it was because the Spurs called and said, "Hey, we won't guarantee anything, but if you show up at our training camp, we'll consider you for our roster."

I saw Pop at the liquor store once buying a bottle of Pinot Noir for the mag shoot and a six pak of Schlitz and a carton of Kool filter kings after the photographers left. I said "hello", and he said "wassappnin!"
