On realgm it's reporting the Mavs are going to make a hard push to get Kenyon.

Who would they give up for him?

It says Jerry Stackhouse.

Trade straight up.

Dallas gets Mike James to replace Stackhouse.

Stackhouse goes to Denver, where his attempts to injure players during breakaways in the playoffs has more of a home.

I guess he'll fill the need for a fragile, over priced big now if they don't resign Van Horn.

If Dallas traded away Daniels to rid themselves of a bloated contract (while receiving an expiring in the process), why would they immediately take on another in Martin? Stack and Croshere will be two servicable chips come the trade deadline.

I thought they already took care of that with Croshere, who only played 50 games this season, had two concussions, injured his abdomen [wtf!], etc ...

Maybe they think Martin can put up huge numbers, witch he has the talent to.He just gets hurt.

Martin has an albatross-type of contract. To do this deal, Dallas would have to part with Stackhouse and another player or two just to match the contracts.

And at what post will Martin play : SF ? C ?
The only reason I see for Mavs to trade for Martin is to get a good defender against players like Duncan and Amare.

Why sign a player who will only play 50 games for you and cause so many locker room problems the team suspends him for the remainder of the playoffs?

While AJ doesn't have the major hardass rep that George Karl does, I can't believe that K-Mart's shit going to fly much better with him than it did in Denver. I imagine the Nuggets would move this guy for a box of rocks and a ham sandwich and throw in a draft pick to sweeten the deal.

Hopefully Dallas does sign the cancer.. they deserve him..

Martin was plagued all last year with an injured knee. During which time he couldn't cover anyone, which really frustrated both himself and the coach. Hell even with a healthy knee, Martin can't cover Duncan (see 2003 NBA Finals).

Great point. Would be kinda like the Cowboys signing that infectious cancer called T.O. Love it. Hope the Mavs do sign him.

Nuggets record last year when Kenyon didn't play was 20-something wins and about 5 losses, while their overall record, including KM playing, was 44 - 38.

He's a jerk and loser.
