Del Negro Prepared For Switch
Vinny Del Negro's leap from the KTAR radio table to the Suns front office was no long jump. Del Negro, who takes over as director of player personnel, already had been sitting in on Suns' coaches meetings and was involved in scouting college players. His work as the radio analyst for the past two seasons allowed him to see games from the front row, watch opposing players work out and warm up and interview opposing coaches about their players. "I've always been a part of all that," said Del Negro, who was hired by former President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo with plans to work him into the basketball staff. "They always made me feel that way. That made my decision easier." -- Arizona Republic
