When you are going to go to USA to make a contract with Spurs?

- I don't have an agreement with any team yet. It is possible that I will play in other team.

Apparently he is with his national team, so I suppose he was never coming to the Summer League??

Thats because they can't sign the contracts yet...

It is a magazine article and not a newspaper article or broadcast news. It is possible that the interview was conducted before the Spurs entered into serious negotiations with him.

If the interview was in the past 3 to 6 days though, maybe the Spurs have told him that his rights might be traded. In that supposed blockbuster trade maybe?

I just found it interesting because people have assumed that Javtokas was "worked out" a long time ago- Spurs could talk to him in June. It could simply be that the Spurs told him not to discuss anything with anyone- typical- but the mention that he could play for another team is what caught my eye.

I certainly hope not. What exactly are they looking for in a center that Robertas Javtokas doesn't provide?

Plus his trade value can't be high.

They would be stupid to trade Robertas Javtokas rights for some low grade center. He was a beast in Europe and I think he will be here.

Hopefully this is CIA related.

Isn't that an interview from a long time ago, as he talks about going on vacation for a month?

Also, he was never going to be in summer league, that was a erroneous report by eurobasket.com. He's training with the NT.

That's my guess too.
I think that Javtokas just say that he hasn't sign a contract with a team for next year.
There is too the translation factor, agreement and contract are really close.

He's also being smart and honest. Without contract in hand, and seeing what Scola has gone through, you have to expect the door is still open for you to get pushed out again.
