What ever happened to that kid?
He seems like a bange down low who can grab a lot of rebounds. We should have the rights to him, since we drafted him...no? Why not bring him instead of some of these scrubs we're looking at.

Dude spent an entire camp with the Spurs, but never seemed to know where he was supposed to be on the floor and was fairly limited in any event.
The Spurs didn't draft him.

I heard he was supposed to be on Charlotte's summer league team in Orlando but didn't make the cut.
And he was horrible with the Spurs (and he wasn't drafted).

James Thomas was one of the dumbest moves the Spurs ever made. He was playing with the Portland team in the Rocky Mountain Revue a couple summers ago and the Spurs got him to come to their training camp by guaranteeing part of his salary.
Problem is Thomas suuuucked during the Revue. His stats looked decent but anyone who sat there and watched the games (like me and Kori did) saw that he was a scrub with no basketball skills.

James Thomas will make a living overseas. Too rugged to play in the NBA.
And he was never drafted by the Spurs.

He reminds me a little of Sheldon Williams (the Duke center Atlanta drafter).
I would not be surprised to see them both with similar careers.

If you saw him play at UT...like me...you're probably a little surprised he didn't make it.
He was built, physical, and a rebounding machine. He could be a 12th man on some team. Rather he SHOULD be a 12 man on some team.

he was a basketball god on march madness 2003
choderegulator would be texas and go like 20 of 22 48 pts 15 rebounds, with like 16 dunks
hes only 6-8, but him arms are like limbs
he could be a good bench player for some team even though he has zero offensive skills
but since the spurs already have KG, they wont need him
