So how many people believe in this?

My father-n-law has his own construction business and lately he's been doing clean outs on forclosed homes. After they clean it out, they take pics of the house and send them to the mortage company. Well his father, my wifes Grandpa helps him now and then and go takes the pics.

He couldn't find his camera and used ours. I was explaining to him how to use it and he was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well when I downloaded them, they looked like crap and i thought he just didn't take them right. I didn't really look at them, but told him they looked like crap. Later we were talking and he told me you know that house. The previous owners came by to drop the keys and told him the house was very haunted. He said he was mad, because he hadn't even started to take the pics and the house was dark without electricty. He said he kept hearing noises, but thought it was him, because of what they told him. After he told me this, I came home and re-looked at the pics and they're freaky. Well not that bad, but there's a bunch of big dusty bright circles and shapes, some red. And it wasn't the camera, because he took some outside pics and there fine. Like I said i didn't really look at them when I downloaded them from the camera and thought he just smeared the lens.

The pics are in my other computer so, I'll post them later and tell me what you think.

First couple are the outside of the house, so you could see the camera is fine.

Now remember the house had no lights, only light was from the windows.

Not to rain on your parade, dude, but those lights inside the house are more than likely from the camera lens. If your lens has a UV coating on it (which it should) it can separate light colors with sketchy lighting sources like daylight through a window, and because most of the spots are perfectly circular it just makes it look even more like a lens issue. I've had lights come out like that before in my pictures, it's just because of the way light travels through the glass of the window and the camera lens.

Looks like a fogged lens.

That's a good point, too - if he went from outside into an air conditioned house very quickly it's entirely possible it fucked up the pictures because of fog.

If he's backlit it can do the same thing.

here's one in the garage, no windows. same effect.

Probably right, but I've never had this effect before on this camera and I've had it for 3yrs. I've had the small little spots that are common with digitals, but not this big.

That house would go for like 1.5 to 2 million here in Cali.

Now this could either prove you right or make your head scratch.

All the light orbs are always on the top left coming down, no matter where he's taking the pic.

There is one window in that garage photo, and that's all it takes. With lighting that bad in such a large space (meaning that even a flash will have a hard time properly lighting the entire space), the camera will reflect all natural sources to which it is exposed.

Check your lens, it's possible the UV coating is worn more on the top left portion of it - that would contribute to the uneven lighting.

Like I said, I never had a problem with it. So i don't think its it. He took it again tonight to take pics of another house. Tomorrow or the next day, I'll take pics in my house with the lights off and see if I get the same effect.

Are you kidding me? Look at the pink smudge that is in every one of those pics. It is in the same exact spot each time. Now, what is the more likely scenario here? A ghost or something having to do with the lens?

There's no depth to the "haze" either. Its 2 dimensional each time because its isn't in the room but on the lense.

And those meetup pics just made me laugh. People will see whatever they want to see I suppose.

I don't watch any scary or horror movies or read those kinds of books because they seriously freak me out. However, if you ask me if I believe in Ghosts, Spirits, Haunted Houses, etc.....I'd have to say no. Weird, Huh? :lol

Oh and I just looked at the outside pics of the house that you posted...I'm a little reaked out to see the actual pics :oops

Well, that house is definitely not my style, so I guess I could call it creepy.

I suggest you do an experiment for us. Camp out there by yourself with just a lantern for light for 24 hours and let us know what happens. ha ha

I'm not too sure on the light reflection but did you notice that you have do have orbs present in some of your photos. Unlike the smudge they are not in the same location nor or they even present in every picture. Orbs are usually dismissed as dust on the camera lens but being that most pictures you shot don't have them is interesting.

Manny is right. There is absolutely nothing "freaky" about any of those pics.

I do believe in ghosts, hauntings, etc. but I don't see anything in those pictures that would make me really believe it's something paranormal.
