I say yes. But what package do we give them? Do we get a role in the supposed 6-team trade? If not him then who else? Settling for Elson and Butler is an insult! We must get another person!

I would love to see Murphy in a Spurs uniform. Him and Duncan as the Spurs frontline would be badass.

Murphy is soft, are u sure u guys want to risk your defense over a slow, jump shooting power forward?

What, in this candy-ass offseason, leads you to believe the Spurs will trade for Troy Murphy?

We need to get Oberto out of here as part of any deal for a big man, but yeah, we should pursue Murphy like crazy. Butler as a backup and Elson as a 3rd-stringer doesn't look nearly as bad as trying to find a starter from among the current options.

Looks like we offer Barry and Eric williams that is more than he makes plus we could throw maybe throw in a pick or Udrich and they could add someone to make it even.

So because he shoots jumpers, he's soft. He averages a double double and has consistently taken it to TD and even dominated him at times.
and Dampier..... let's just say he has a permanent contract with charmin

Troy Murphy has five years left on his deal. The Spurs are offering no more than two-year deals.
The priority will not be winning again until the 2008-09 season. Take a couple years to tour the world and meet back here then.

The Spurs won't go after Murphy because he is not a slug who averages 4 ppg.
