Trading two disgruntled wide receivers....
And the Cowboys tradition of letting good WRs go continues. :depressed

:wtf ... they better have a draft pick with Morgan, or else the Cowboys just got raped.

Both were second round picks...Morgan has one more year than Bryant. It seems an even trade on paper. No picks announced at this point. I guess we just wait for the Antonio smear info to come out of Valley Ranch.

Hell, Parcells never forgets or forgive anyone or anything. I think this was a bad move on paper, but probably just another example to the team not to EVER cross the Tuna. I don't know too much about Qunicy Morgan, except that he was the second wideout at K-State and he's a local kid from Garland. Really though, what difference does it make when two mediocre teams swap third wideouts?

Antonio Bryant is still living off of his hype. Had a decent rookie season, an awful second season, and a decent third season. Nothing more. Definitely nothing to offset his being such a headcase. One of the things I heard on the radio out of Dallas is that Dallas had to burn a timeout late in the Pitt game because AB refused to leave the huddle and the field. He didn't want to be here, he was ecstatic about the trade.

Antonio Bryant was a great WR. In college.

AB has talent. Morgan has been pretty scrubly from what I've seen.

It was a swap of unhappy #3s is the way I see it. Not a good trade, not a bad trade. Just a trade.

:pctoss :wtf :cuss

This is not a good trade. Bryant is 4 yrs younger and better. Even if he wasn't happy, he was still catching the damn ball.

I agree, this is a bad trade. We recieved nothing from this trade. Cleveland definately got the better of the deal.

I believe it was a good trade, maybe Bryant was becoming a cancer to the team........From what i've heard Quincy has a good attitude and great talent, so maybe Parcells can make somethin' out of the kid!!! :smokin

Dallas made this trade because Morgan will probably accept his #3 role better than AB. Guess I have to change my avatar and sig.

BTW, I also think this move clears the way for the Cowboys to use one of their #1 draft picks for USC's Mike Williams.

Time to start rooting against the Bills and for the Dolphins.

AB had the potential to be a solid #2 while Quincy will always be a #3... I don't like the trade, but I'll live with it.

Roy Williams is officially all that remains from what seemed like a good 2002 draft at the time.

^^^agreed.

Scott...what do you think about how Terrence Newman is doing? I thought he was good last year but is sucking this year. Sophomore slump or overrated?

samikeyp, exact thoughts on Newman! I think he is overrated! He hasn't shown that he can shut down a WR. I know this is only his second year, but you'd think he would show some flashes. I think if he doesn't show improvement, next year will be a critical year for him.
