It's amazing AT&T is in such bad shape they were basically like Coke or Nike when I was growing up. Fat chance they can compete with Brighthouse, DirecTV, or Dish Network in that market too.

We're trying that out right now actually. It has practically every package (all movies and sports) for free until the end of the year plus DVR.... really cheap... tons of channels! BUT it does tend to shut down for no reason... I've had to call them about 3 times since we got it about 2 months ago.

Did they tell you why they were having problems? Were they still in beta testing when you got it?

To be honest I don't even know what the problem was... they told me it had something to do with our system getting locked and them having to go back and unlock it. I wasn't paying too much attention on the phone then because I couldn't understand the guy too well and I was babysitting a 4 year old at the time. :lol

I looked through the web site and couldn't find the channel listings. Does anyone who has it know where to find them?

They recently changed the channel layout & sent the new one in the mail. There is nothing online that I could find... maybe you can ask them to send you the listing?

seems like a pretty good deal to me. how much is it LuvBones? I know I pay about $100 a month for cable and internet with Roadrunner. and mine doesnt even have all the movie channels and stuff that uverse has, nor does it have DVR, I'd have to pay extra.

LuvBones

It's $90 for the cable and internet. You'd be saving a little bit.. plus you'd have DVR and hundreds of channels.

Time Warner is totally jacking me on cable. My bill last month was $88, this month it's $99 without explanation as to the increase. Since I already have AT&T for phone and internet, I'm thinking that the bundle could save me some $$. There is a kiosk at the H-E-B, I'll ask the guy tomorrow if he has a channel listing.

i get digi phone, roadrunner and digi cable + dvr for $150 including fees and taxes. my rr has a 600k d/l, up to 80k upload - way faster than dsl. can't complain. the phone has gone out twice in the last year, nothing else ever does.

does it really matter? i have digital cable outputted through s-video into my tv. it looks great - i don't have an HDTV but i can't afford one anyway. my setup looks way better than my best friend's comparable directv setup.

What a liar!
Dude,TW is a joke when it comes to picture quality. People with TW come over and see my picture quality and ask what I have. Direct tv is the way to go is all I tell them.
TW is a fucking joke when it comes to cable tv.

yeah, you're here looking at my setup. maybe it sucks in san antonio, but mine looks great here in austin - some of the lower bandwidth channels can pixellate sometimes but that's very rare. cable does look like shit when you run it through coax, i imagine that's what most people still do. either that or they have shitty tvs.

The kiosk I saw is at 1604 and Blanco, but I'm sure they have others elsewhere. I also just got two things in the mail about it.

you may wanna wait until they hammer the kinks out... first gen of new services can be a roller coaster ride. i have one question though: didn't at&t and SBC merge? i thought they did, and wouldn't that mean that at&t/sbc still owns dish network? i don't see why they would offer a new tv service.

Doesn't ATT own Dish Network?

I'm really enjoying Dish Network right now. I'm still waiting for my refund from Time-Warner. From March.

Because a lot of people are still wary of satellite. Time Warner has been offering their service bundles for a while and SBC/AT&T wasn't able to really compete without a digital tv service. I know they've been testing a beta for a while, but I probably will wait a few months to see what the reaction is.

would this run over cable lines?
