Update:Pierce will have minor surgery on his left elbow Aug.1 in Boston,the
Providence Journal reports.
Recommendation:Pierce just signed a three-year,$59 million extension with the Celtics,so obviously this isn't a major concern.He is expected to be out no more than for weeks.
