Firstly, there's a difference between enjoying the occasional unhealthy meal and stuffing your face full of fried chicken 24 hours a day.

Secondly, dying of clogged arteries and/or a heart attack is, technically, a natural death.

T Park
07-20-2006, 01:22 AM
Anything by Alton Brown or Mario Batali.

Especially the italian sandwiches Mario was eating on his show lately

CuckingFunt
07-20-2006, 01:24 AM
I strongly disagree. Dying of clogged arteries due to an unhealthy diet is NOT a natural death. If you believe that, then you must think that if I starve myself and eventually die, that is a natural death as well.

It also would depend at what age you die of clogged arteries. If you are an 85 year old man and die of a heart attack, I think that constitutes a natural death. However, if you are in your 50's, it is your fault and should not be labeled a "natural death" because it was not natural.
I said nothing of my beliefs on the subject. Nor did I offer any type of theoretical argument. Just arguing the technicalities.

Heart attack = organ failure = natural death.

If you like ice cream but are into counting calories, the slow-churned ice cream (half the fat) from Dreyer's is very good...try the French Silk...mmmmm. I haven't had one of those in far too long.

My ex who lives in Michigan doesn't have Sonic near him. That was a must stop when he'd visit.

Yup, I don't think there are actually any in Michigan, but we get those damn commercials for them all the time. I have never eaten at one, and from what you say, I guess it is better that I don't know what I am missing.

?????? Why? Their food tastes great, is no higher in calories than other fast food places (lower in calories than some). They have some excellent toaster sandwiches. And about a thousand drinks you can choose from, great fruit slushes and ice cream slushes for the summer. I love Sonic.

Yeah, that is what I am saying. I'd probably be jonesing pretty bad for some of their food if I had tried it before, but since there isn't one anywhere close to me, it is probably for the best that I have never eaten there, so I don't what what I'd be missing.

I have eaten at a Cajun restaurant in Ft. Worth called Razoo's. They have something called "Chocolate Mountain" or something like that. It was a huge brownie with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce. Two of us would get one and share it...no way I could eat one of those by myself (especially after downing a delicious shrimp po'boy! and a pile of Razoo's curly fries) without being sick. That thing was yummy.

The closest Sonic that I know of to me is in Bakersfield, roughly 120 away.
I guess they fear the competition from In-'N-Out.
If they did enter the greater L.A. market, they'd OWN In-'N-Out.
In-'N-Out is drastically overhyped.

Sonic sucks compared to In-'N-Out.

The only thing good at Sonic is chili dogs and slushes. The burgers are horrible.

I've heard that about In-'N-Out burgers, but I have also heard they rule. I've never had one. I know people who ooh and ahh about Red Robin, too; I don't care for that place at all. Don't see what the big deal is. It's over-priced and the food is not that hot, especially the burgers. I much prefer Chester's, but my all-time favorite burger, bar none, is Fuddrucker's.

Haha, I remember when they opened up the first Sonic in Southern Virginia when I lived there about five years ago. For three months straight, there was a line out on the street and cops to direct traffic. People couldn't get enough. I have been back 3x in the last three years and the lines have subsided, but only because they have opened up four more in the area.

I agree with Kori, you don't go for the burgers. You go for the coneys, tots and drinks. Now I want a route 44 drink. Maybe something watermelon-y. Damn.

Sonic would NEVER own In'N'Out.

Tempe AZ...they recently built an InNOut...check the traffic flow since it opened...compare it to sonic....

My favorite burger at Chester's is the single cheesburger with the grilled onions (nothing else)...the cheese melts all through the onions...OMG! Talk about "foodgasm"!!!! But, I usually don't even get a burger there...I usually get the BLT on Texas toast. Now, that is to die for.

Could be. I grew up mostly in north Georgia and coastal South Carolina (Charleston), with frequent visits to Alabama (you probably wouldn't recognize any of the names of the wide spots in the road where I have relatives..but, I can tell you that most of what they say about rural Alabama is true... :rolleyes).
