is it still a neccessity to sign another big man? Just wondering what y'all think...... It could be:

C Butler/Duncan/Oberto
PF Duncan/Bonner/Horry
SF Bowen/Finley/Williams

Is this enough?

I think the Spurs need one more big man to throw against Shaq and Yao.

I don't think they would want to start Butler right away. So I think they'll still look for another big. I wouldn't mind it being an athletic PF over a typical center.

Couldn't find Pollard's salary in Hoophype. Could he be lured for the vet minimum?

.....if Elson is matched we go after a long athletic 3. Ariza, Woods, or Jones.

No need to pick-up another big. Not for half MLE at least...

What about Lo Wright? I'm not sure how athletic he is, but he's always been more of a PF playing out of position than a real C anyway.

If he could, I would do that in a heartbeat.

He made something like $6M last year though, and I'm not sure he's declined to the point where he's a vet min guy. It might take $2-2.5M a year to land him.

The downside to Pollard is that Butler is another wide-load big guy. As Kori said, we'd probably be better off with someone a little more mobile.

Wright is a joke and doesn't fit our need.

Kelvin Cato for the vet min, I say!
