I've been trying to use that but keep having trouble with it.
When the program works right- it encodes a DVD- and after it finishes that it ejects the DVD tray and lets me know to put in a blank DVD and voila. Nothing to it.
The next day I try to use it and it doesn't have that ISO folder anymore as the file target. It reads "Hard Drive Folder" I believe. After it encodes the DVD it just tells me that the files are on my hard drive and ready to burn (instead of ejecting it and telling me to put in a blank DVD).
What gives?

What program are you writing the ripped data with? Probably Nero or CopytoDVD. When you click to back up, it will give you the option of "Select backup target," and if you have either of those 2 programs installed that I just mentioned, it should give you the option of Hard disk folder then write using whatever writing program you have installed.

Exactly. I am using Nero and I don't have that option under "Select backup target". I had it last night because I burned 3 movies. Then I tried using it today (and I didn't make any changes) and I couldn't. Under "Select backup target" it reads "Hard Disk Folder" I believe.

Click the drop down menu for the "Select Backup Target" and tell me what options it gives you.

So now I try it and it gives me that option of "Burning using Nero" and my drive... but when I click it.. it begins to encode it.... and then freezes up. :madrun :madrun

Why Burn using Nero? I just burn from DVD Shrink... no problems.

I thought you needed Nero. I mean I don't have to open Nero... i only use DVD Shrink..... and it burns the movie 'using' Nero....

I don't think you need Nero... for the output just tell it to go to your drive - that will burn it directly to the disc without Nero.

That's weird.
I've used DVD Shrink a few times and it's so easy when it works!
ZStomp's getting frustrated!

Dude you can't burn with Shrink, the program is for ripping DVDs, not writing them. You must have Nero, CopytoDVD, or some other program that writes them, because you obvioulsy haven't been burning them with Shrink.

Download this free decrypter, it will fix your problem I believe. I think that DVD Shrink has one built in, but it doesn't decrypt a number of DVDs, especially the newer ones. This software is totally safe, so don't worry about installing it, here is the link:
http://www.dvd43.com/
Let me know if it helps.

It's possible, because AnyDVD hasn't been able to decrypt some of the more recent rentals. But between DVD43 and AnyDVD I've been able to burn any and every rental I have tried, literally hundreds of titles. The only thing that sucks is if you have DVD43 already installed and you install one of the more recent versions of AnyDVD, it tells you that the 2 can cause a conflict and it prompts you to uninstall DVD43. Haven't experienced a conflict yet, but the thought kind of scares me.
