Spurminator
10-20-2004, 04:23 PM
Fucking god dammit, why can't anyone on this team besides Clemens, Oswalt, Backe and Lidge pitch worth a fucking shit?
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 04:28 PM
Harville got them out of the jam

4-3 now. Lamb homered. None on.
Marcus Bryant
10-20-2004, 04:36 PM
Ausmus on 1st. 1 out. Everett up.
Yep, they needed that. Course they got a break now what with Womack coming out of the game too.
Marcus Bryant
10-20-2004, 04:41 PM
Everett grounds into fielder's choice. Ausmus out at second.
Biggio flies out.
On to bottom of 4th.
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 04:42 PM
Aside from the fact that we're relying on a shitty bullpen instead of an off-his-game Roy Oswalt, this reminds me a lot of Game 4.
I have a good feeling for some reason.
But I refuse to detract my Reverse Mojo statement.
Marcus Bryant
10-20-2004, 04:42 PM
Qualls now pitching for Astros.
Due up in bottom of 4th:
Luna
Walker
Pujols
Least Houston is staying within a run, that's good.
Marcus Bryant
10-20-2004, 04:44 PM
Luna grounds out to short. 1 away
Marcus Bryant
10-20-2004, 04:45 PM

Bagwell grounds out.
Berkman grounds out.

That play by the Astros catcher may have saved the game.

Good idea to get beer before you go vote.
Update?
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 05:00 PM
12 hits for St Louis???
WTF?
Lucky to only be down 1 run.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 05:02 PM
Fuck, they should not have walked Matheny, now they pull Moris and have to face Maybry
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 05:10 PM
Spurm, I told you Qualls would pitch well, didn't I?
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 05:27 PM
I've never had a huge problem with Qualls. Just Harville and Miceli.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 05:29 PM
My bad, it was Ice that told me to leave Qualls at home.
This game has went fast...not yet 3 hrs and in the top of the 8th. Compared to the epics that the Red Sox/Yankees have been playing.

10-20-2004, 06:21 PM
Why did he swing at that low pitch??? He is not Beltran. :)
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 06:22 PM
Lidge time
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 06:26 PM
Garner subbed Lane for Berkman in a double switch.
I hope this thing doesn't go to the 12th...
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 06:27 PM
If the game lasts a couple more innings, and the Astros go ahead by a run at some point... would you bring in Clemens to close?
I would.
IcemanCometh
10-20-2004, 06:29 PM
uhm no
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 06:33 PM
Who would you bring in?
IcemanCometh
10-20-2004, 06:39 PM
not the guy we gotta count on to win game 7 if necessary
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 06:45 PM
If we're up a run and we hold them, we don't need a game 7. I like my chances pitching Clemens one inning better than pitching Clemens against the Cardinals lineup for 9 more innings tomorrow.
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 06:52 PM
Lidge pitching his 3rd inning of the night...
Definitely hope there's no Game 7.
IcemanCometh
10-20-2004, 06:55 PM
brad lidge is a fucking ma-cheen
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 07:04 PM
Miceli in to face Pujols, Rolen and Edmonds.
Game over.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:08 PM
Damn!!!!
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:09 PM
Well, we get The Rocket tomorrow on full rest...the Stros will win then. :)
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 07:09 PM
Yep.
hope so...it's going to be a good one.
IcemanCometh
10-20-2004, 07:10 PM
that was pretty fucking obvious. unfortunately clemens has to go pretty much 9 innings
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:10 PM
The Astros had to go to Micelli. Lidge was spent, I hope he can go tomorrow.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:11 PM
Now, the Red Sox have to do it, or I will be looking for the nearest bridge in town.
timvp
10-20-2004, 07:11 PM
Why did the Astros give up like that? Danny Boy?
They should have dusted off Andy Pettitte and put him out there.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:11 PM
Damn Ice, It is all my fault with my jinxing.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:12 PM
The Bullpen played great today, the Cards had 8 straight scoreless innings before that bomb.
IcemanCometh
10-20-2004, 07:13 PM
meatball micelli
Spurminator
10-20-2004, 07:14 PM
Can't really fault the pitching... The offense didn't get the big hits.
So many fly balls to the warning track too...
What are you gonna do?
T Park
10-20-2004, 07:24 PM
The Queen finally gets a hit.
A miracle.
The strategy once again tommaorow, is foul off, foul off foul off foul off.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:28 PM
TPark, it had to go 7, just as the AL...it was fated
romsho
10-20-2004, 07:30 PM
Lidge has plenty left. He only threw 31 pitches. Did anyone not know the second Miceli came in it was game over?
T Park
10-20-2004, 07:34 PM
I didnt.
Lidge will more than likely get in tommarow.
I just pray the cardinals are winning when he is in.
Jimcs50
10-20-2004, 07:47 PM
I did not either, Edmonds is a great high ball hitter and Miceli should not have thrown the high heat, but Miceli has been good all year.
