View Full Version : Colorado will win the north!!

Not that it's a big accomplishment, because either team who comes out of the north will be embarrassed by the SOuth Champ.
But The only ones i see giving colorado problems is the Knobraska CornFuskers, and Iowa St..
Iowa state should be the strong one out of the group but they face ou and ut and have a fuckin strong b12 schedule. they will not make it out alive.
Knobraska is overrated, yes they won last year by 27, but the buffs had given up on barnett after iowa st. Knobraska will probably have problems with both Kansas teams, and COlorado is not stigmatized by anyone in the North, especially with their new coach Dan Hawkins. His style of football will impress and set the standard for the big 12 in the future.
That's my prediction.

I don't get it, so is Knobraska supposed to be insulting?

There's a damn good reason CU is not predicted by err, anyone, to compete in the north this year.

New coach, inexperienced QB, best player is a kicker, and not to mention the second string RB (holiday) tried out for a walk-on at Nebraska twice and neither time was invited to join the team. You have reasons to be optimistic. Nebraska overrated? I guess that's what colorado was thinking going into last years game. colorado had their chance at the big12 while Nebraska was rebuilding. Now, the hookers are gone and your football team sucks. Nice try, but get used to annual Thanksgiving ass-kicking handed to you courtesy of Nebraska.

And UT sucked in the 90's homie, Right around the same time you were sporting Notre Dame starter jackets and Miami jerseys. Doesn't mean you shouldn't follow a team who doesnt have the most gear at Champs.
Like i said, Nebraska is the only one to challenge Colorado. Iowa state won't make it out alive with their tough conference schedule.

I'm sorry, it has the most prestigous school of all time in Nebraska. Iowa state can easily beat OU and Texas if healthy since they have the talent. Kansas St gave Ut a run last year.

That's funny.
Arkansas Razorbiotches to Colorado is basically comparing Rice to Smu. Noth much of a difference.
Arkansas would be fourth behind Colorado if it was in the Big 12 north.

Only to the fact that Colorado has to learn a new system, dont act as if the predictions are based on talent, because Colorado also has their fare share of all Big 12 stars in Fenton, Daniels, and throw in Bad Thad. ANd i'm not including the Kicker. :lol
Only Nebraska has better talent, but they have the hardest conference schedule.

Colorado, congratulations! You're officially the only Big XII team to lose today. Not only did you lose, you became the first Division I-A victory for the Bobcats since *1984!*
Quote of the day, from the Montana State head coach:
"It (beating CU) doesn't mean a thing if we can't beat Chadron State next weekend!"

So i got it wrong. it was the kansas of 04 who ya barely beat by 27-24, but that doesn't matter. You benefit by being a fan of any winning team that sells well at the local champs stores. No room for your idiocy to abound there. Stick to sports, and rooting for winning programs (after the fact).

We,... I mean the team lost. And if it's the team that wins, i didn't. I only benefit by the satisfaction of knowing my team played hard. No one in Boulder or it's press are coming out with conspiracy theories. Just because you can't stand me doesn't mean you have to rip a town you have no clue about.
And besides how does ripping me make you not come out as a Douchebag Agg-Hat Bonfire fluffer. No UT fan is going blow you and forget your agginess.
SO i don't see what sort of interest you have in this thread.
The aggies are not in the north, and this game has nothing to do with the big 12 north title.

Who ever said I cheered for them after the fact? Been a Longhorn fan all my life. My brother started going there in the fall of 2000. Went to every game and suffered through 5 straight years of losing to OU and underachieving. He went to the all the bowl games, every home game, every RRS, the Shoe and both Rose Bowls. He finally got his due with the NC. I don't attend there because I play college soccer but I have talked Longhorn football with him for as long as I can remember. Get your facts right and then we can talk. Don't lump my into the bandwagon group.

Colorado had a bad game, but they'll play much better than this game indicates. They will still challenge for the North title, but Nebraska may be just too much this season. There is no way Montana St. is better than CU - it just goes to show what happens when you take teams lightly.

Are you really sure your team played hard? Looking from the outside, i'd say that your problem is that your team did NOT play hard, overlooked Montana State looking towards the rest of your pretty hard non-con schedule. As a result, you sat back and got demolished by a team that next plays Chadron State.

Montana recieved our safety Tyrone henderson this year. I dont think colorado played hard at all. i was just speaking in general of how i view my college sports experience. But back to Tyrone henderson, he gave away a good size of our defensive strategy, and was very useful. but that's not also what did us in.
Montana had a coach who has had time to know his team.
they had a stable quarterback who played last year.
And they had alot of juco and div 1 transfers.
Colorado is still more talented, but they stunk up the place big time.

2004:
Nebraska had a coach with little time to learn his team
A entire roster of players, including the QB, recruited for a completely different style of play
Did I mention a completely different style of play moving from the Option to the WCO?
Yet, we still managed to blow out DIAA Western Illinois 56-17 in our first game of the season. Don't use Henderson as an excuse, the fact is you still got your asses kicked, at home, to a team you should of walked over. Things are bad in Boulder, one only has to look at how Colorado State is FAVORED next week to see that...
Sure, this wasn't a conference game. But your coach better get his shit together damn quick if he wants to beat more than Kansas State this year.
