Astros turn down Rangers' try for Lidge
Jul 29 - In order to get bullpen help, the Rangers offered catcher Rod Barajas and outfielder Brad Wilkerson to the Astros for right-hander Lidge, ESPN.com's Jayson Stark reports. The Astros turned down Texas, and now Lidge will not be traded.

didn't see that until today...

Id take him on the Cardinals.

I imagine walking to the clubhouse and seeing Albert would result in an instant fetal position.

They just said on ESPN that the Rangers now have offered Blalock for Lidge.

If the Astros do that trade then they would trade Ensberg to the Paders for Linebrink who would replace Lidge.

Right now, Qualls and Lidge are deer-in-headlights, marked-for-death relievers. They can't do anything right in a tight situation.

I'm personally glad the Astros haven't traded Lidge to the Rangers, but I would not be sad if the Astros were able to get value for Lidge with some other team. Today was another pathetic meltdown by Qualls and Lidge, ruining another fine performance by the Rocket.
