I use Windows XP, I re-formatted my HDD, I did the non-destructive one, where it keeps all your programs and other files, but now I can't download anything off the internet, I'll click a link and the download box will always give me a cannot find the file error message. ANy suggestions?

disable those windows son

1.Click Start and then click Control Panel.

2.Click Performance and Maintenance. (If you do not see the Performance and Maintenance icon, you may be using Classic View. You can skip to step 3 below, but you must double-click Administrative Tools.)

3.Click Administrative Tools.

4.Double-click Services as shown in Figure 1 above..

5.Double-click Messenger.

6.In the Startup type list, choose Disabled as shown in Figure 2 below.

7.Click Stop, and then click OK.
Thank you so much :elephant :elephant

HA HAH

I fixed it!!!

The problem is so funny too, big loophole in Windows XP. When I re-format my computer using the non-destructive method, Windows, makes a new Adminstrator account, but keeping the settings as if the previous Adminstrator was still active, so basically we have a Temporary Internet Files folder that does not exist, so therefore I can't download anything. I just made a new Admin account and deleted all previous ones and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
