....in the D-League.

Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown has said that one day he would like to return to Colorado to coach. The NBADL Colorado 14ers, located in Broomfield, tried to make that a reality this week.

Gary Hunter, Broomfield Sports president and CEO, said Wednesday that he offered the expansion team's head coaching job to Brown this week. While Brown sounded intrigued, Hunter said he turned down the opportunity.

"Ninety percent of the conversation was about mutual friends and family," Hunter said. "He just indicated that he thought it would be a good opportunity for two reasons. He loves Colorado and he loves to develop basketball players."

Brown was fired in June by the New York Knicks a year after signing a $50 million contract.

"Under the circumstances, he decided he better spend some more time with his family before deciding about his future," Hunter said. "He said money is no object."

I wish LB would just disappear permanently so we wouldn't have to hear about him again.

He just loves being the center of attention.

"when money is no object?"

At leasst since he got $10M last season from the Knicks. The guy has pulled 10s of $Ms out of the NBA. If he still needs $$ now, it's his own profligate fault.

If there's a wing in the HOF for vagabond coaches, absolutely!
