Darius Miles: Almost a Knick

RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com

Update: According to sources, the Knicks were close to acquiring Miles in a trade for Quentin Richardson, but instead opted to extend an offer sheet to Jared Jeffries, the New York Daily News reports.

Recommendation: The Wizards have until Monday to match the Knicks' offer to Jeffries, so Miles could still end up in New York.

Umm, the Knicks didn't acquire D. Miles. The article you posted said they were going to do this trade, but instead went after Jared Jeffries. Miles and Qrich are still with their respective team and it looks as though Washington will not match the offer sheet.

Q Rich is more a SG than a SF and he has a bad back with a huge contract.
Miles is a gamble and Spurs don't make gamble on players with a huge contract.

Q-Rich was mentioned as a Power Guard (i.e. Bonzi Wells) and it was only for comparison's sake. Bonzi, Q, and Miles all have one thing in common that the Spurs do not like...a $7+ million contract that runs past 2008. The big plan is to make a serious push for young talent in 2008 and having the extra $7+ mil will help.

hahahahahahahahahaha

If Miles does eventually get traded to NYK, they will just be adding yet another cancer to an already tumourous roster! :lol
