Is he signed to play next season with the Spurs? After signing Melzer I figured Sanders was on his way out. And I don't see any contract info on Hoopshype right now. But Spurs.com has him listed as on the roster with no (FA) beside his name. Any word?

He's not a free agent. He's on a non-guaranteed contract.

Meaning the Spurs can cut him anytime and owe him nothing. They can keep him as long as they want and pay him on a per game basis up until January. If they want to keep him after that, they have to guarantee him the rest of the season (if not, they have to release him).

My friend Noel Felix is in the same situation with the Sonics.

Actually, that's a good question. For regular season games, I think it's the minimum/82, but I don't know what they get paid before the regular season starts.

According to insidehoops.com the rookie minimum is $412,718 ... basically $5K per game if my supposition is correct. If you have 1 year credited service (however that is computed) the minimum jumps by 60%, to $664,209.

Kori?

During training camp/pre-season IIRC non-guaranteed players just get a per diem (~$100/day).

For regular season it's per game (minimum/82) for Melvin and Noel, you are correct that minimum is $664,209. And they get paychecks twice a month.

Not bad at all. The only thing that sucks is that they can get cut anytime.
