Even though I don't participate in these topics much (expect for the occassional :lol), I do read them and wanted to thank y'all for posting about Bush and Kerry until you're blue in the face.

I really was considering not voting this year (I know...bad) since I really don't like either one of them, but what has been posted here helped me decide. So...

Thank you
Gracias
Merci Beaucoup
Danke
etc.

Very true. This forum is awesome.

I still probably won't vote ... but at least I know what is going on now from reading this forum on a daily basis.

IMHO, voting is one of our most powerful rights that so many do not make use of.

Umm... what was your address, again, LJ? I think I need to slap somebody upside the head with a pound of voter registration cards...

GO VOTE!

Just recently, I started voting again, after a 20 year hiatus, but IMHO, the right to vote is overrated. It's like having the right to shop at Wal-Mart.

Couldn't agree more GON. Voting is a right..but so is not voting.

My theory on voting is if you don't vote, then you lose your right to bitch about whatever was voted on. :)

Good thing I don't bitch about them...hell I probably never started a single topic in the political forum...unless it was a political joke that I thought was funny like the BvsK one.

My theory on voting is .... I'm caught in a web of conflict between dumbasses and dumbfucks, and all my efforts are an exercise in futility.

I believe that just about sums up the entire voting strategy of the DNC...

What's funnier is that you'll all vote 3 times and still lose.

I don't have any problems with casting a vote for a candidate that loses.
I'm not out to be popular because I voted for the winning candidate and I'll stand by my vote regardless.

VOTE AMERICA!!!!!

I agree. Too many people gave up too much to insure that all of us live in a country where we can bitch about who is in office and do something about it. Election Day is my chance to honor that sacrifice and for me to be heard.

Not voting is as much a political statement as is voting. Our constitutional rights are not predicated on having cast a ballot in the prior presidential election.
