blue: old Texas board
red: the one pictured first = Aggie board(s) (54x72 = 40x72 + 10x72 + 4x72)
light purple: Arkansas (107x30) - Huskers (117x33) close enough to arkie's

No, that first picture is a&m's new jumbotron. The 2nd picture is a&m's screen up against godzillatron, notice the size difference.

Isn't UT's supposed to be of a HiDef sort?

thats crazy. i did not know t.u. was building a new jumbotron...it looks pretty big. i like the size of the t.u one better than A&M's, but i think A&M's looks nicer with the way it is set up and all. but i guess the finishing product will tell all.

A&M's is an entire scoreboard, that pic of the godzillatron is a few weeks old so some of the framing isn't there.

Why not just hang out in Round Rock and watch the Godzillatron?

A&M built theirs that size because the master plan for Kyle calls for it to be moved to a corner when they start construction on a South End Zone project in a few years.

They will move the one currently being built to one corner of the stadium and put up an identical board in the opposite corner.

Or since this is directly related to college football, it can stay here.

Those plans might be delayed, if a&m misses a bowl game this year there attendance numbers will start to drop even more. They arn't even selling out anymore.

No, aggy fan, Trinity University is not "building" a new jumbotron.

Don't the Ags have a little park/plaza thing outside the main entrance at Kyle where all the collies are buried? I remember it was a big deal a few years (probably closer to ten) ago that they had to move the remains out of the stadium due to some construction activity.

Austinites are already making plans to "break down" on the upper deck of I-35 and watch the game...

i hear the DPS ia having a fit about the godzillatron, apparently it violates state rules about being a distraction visible from a major highway.

Apparently, that comment was made tounge-in-cheek from the DPS rep.

Although I wouldn't mind my truck parking on I-35 for a few minutes and catching a game on the TV.

Even if it does see into the future with a screen that huge.

It was a former a&m DPS rep that brought it up, the board is on premises though so there is no violation. Plus I think austin would approve them to have it.

When can we watch porn on it?

Or at least some NCAA 07 or Madden 07.

That's actually a legitimate concern since it's located in Rubbernecker, Texas.
