Karl Stampedes Into Treasure Valley
BOISE - NBA coaching legend, George Karl has joined the Idaho Stampede's ownership group and will be actively involved with the team this year. Karl, whose son, Cody plays for Boise State will continue to work as an analyst for ESPN, but said at a morning press conference that he wanted something in Idaho that would keep him busy while he watches his son play. Karl actually started his coaching career in the CBA, and three times was named the league's coach of the year.
Karl spent 16 seasons in the NBA, coaching the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Seattle Supersonics, and Milwaukee Bucks. He is 15th on the NBA'S all time win list with a record of 708 wins and 499 losses
