Dal/Mil/Det trade rumor: Stack out, Simmons/Delfino in?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This coming in from RealGM.com.

Quote:Don't know the validity of this rumor, but if you're a Dallas fan this could be great or it could be a mistake...umm I don't know what to think.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Simmons and Gadzuric are to be dealt in a threeway as soon as a few wrinkles get ironed out. Simmons and Delfino will be going to Dallas, Gadzuric to Detroit, Stackhouse and Davis to Milwaukee. The only holdup is the level of protection the picks coming from Detriot and/or Dallas will have. Cash will also be included, to that I don't know where from or to whom.

*If you're a Bucks fan you've read something by me. Bucks are sending the cash and will be getting a first round pick, along with a second round pick the year after.

It's RealGM.com so I don't give it any weight. A half rung on the ladder above HoopsHype.com when it comes to trade "rumors". RUMOR on those sites are defined as "Transactions likely to stir up site hits but NOT likely to happen".

Anyway, if it goes down Dallas makes out like a bandit. Simmons is a quality player.

For the last time...HOOPSWORLD is the site everyone says is not credible...HOOPSHYPE is a very good site, they have all the news clippings from various sources on one page...as for a rumor coming off of realgm.com, I wouldn't put much weight behind it, it is a site that fans use to dream up trade scenarios & run them past each other.

Bingo.
this is the only thing I found about what the thread starter was taking about.

Not much is provided about this rumor, since that's what it really is.

But.
IF, there is some truth behind this, then I don't get this..
Why are the mavs making that many moves when they really arent necessary??
The team they had was GOOD enough to beat the spurs in the WCSF and the spurs roster for next season is almost practiclly the same. So why make any changes??
For what??

Because of miami???
Im sure alot of people will agree with me when I say that the Heat winning the NBA title was a bit of a fluke.
Theres no question that Dallas was the better team.
But when talks of conspiracy started popping up, the mavs got distracted by them and when call went against them, they pouted about it and worried more about the officals than the game itself.

if dallas does this trade then they will beat the spurs and all the other teams over and over again.

Heh. If Delfino bitched about PT in Detroit, just imagine what would happen in Dallas.

Oh, it's just a rumor RealGM message board. I thought it was on their Wiretap or something.

It would make a little sense if Milwaukee is feeling buyer's remorse with Simmons. He has underachieved so far.

Oh, it's just a rumor RealGM message board. I thought it was on their Wiretap or something.thanks for clarifying that. I wasn't too sure if it was part of the "rumor" board or their main source. This is truly just a rumor then...I'm sure. Didn't really like the idea anyway...I'm a Stack man all the way. I love his energy and contribution off the bench.

:rolleyes Not as big of a fluke as Dallas winning the West. The heat got physical and the mavs fell apart because of it so therefore the heat were better. Because of the pouting and unable to handle Riley ball etc that shows your not ready to win a title. I am sorry but that is the truth and because Miami executed and adjusted to Riley ball better it caused the Mavs to fall apart. The Mavs didnt recover after game 3 and say what you want on them giving it away but they couldnt recover from it. Not being mentally tough when adversity hits its hardest is another reason why they werent good enough to win it all! Miami=team to beat for the 06-07 season and until somebody beats them all roads lead through them.

By Davis do they mean Dale Davis?

If Mav retool this way, they have the deepest YOUNG talent and improve the speed of the whole team which hurt traditional half court team more. But they also have the minute allocation problem.

This would suck. The Pistons lose Delfino, a player who has shown a lot of promise, for Gadzuric. His contract is huge - 31.2 million over the next 5 seasons. Especially whe you consider his production - 5.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 279 career games. Last year, the first one of this new deal, was his worst yet. He's a drafted version of Mikki Moore.

It also strengthens a divisional rival by adding Stackhouse and hurting the Pistons by losing Delfino and gaining all this salary. Terry Porter better know something the general public cannot see with regards to Gadzuric.

This is the dumbest damn idea I have ever seen. Here I thought this Gadzuric character must be a good player if we're giving up Delfino. So I checked ESPN...

Needless to say, this is complete bullshit and I dont believe for a second that JoeD would just give Delfino away.

If you have to look up who this "Gadzuric charactor" is, you don't know enough about the NBA to really have a weighted opinion in the first place.

There are so many stackhouse haters, especially in dallas. People fail to realize that even though he makes dumb mistakes he still does way more good than bad.

Your right, i should be a fairweather fan of a team that has a shot at the NBA title.

BTW: Why are you still a Piston fan then?
