hehe...sorry buddy. that title was stinging, no?
I dont dumb down this forum...that is the job of the likes of you, who will contort yourself into a partisan pretzel so long as it ends with you being on the left or whatever.
Im no neocon, either, buddy. Im a strong independent. Not a robot, like you tend to be. Nothing stupid here, amigo.
Congratulations on your book deal.

It's not like I compromise my principles to support one cause over another just for purely partisan reasons. Unlike John Kerry, I was against the Iraq War when my only political ally was the looney John Rangel. In the nearly 3 years I have been here, my stand on important issues have remained very constitent, and my opinion on those who don't like my posts has always been - don't like em', don't read them!

OP, you know what, I welcome any opinion as long as it is not cloaked in lies.
What I object to most is people who take positions on issues, quote some specious evidence and then fail to reveal the source eg. Yonivore using the phrase "let me assure you" in relation to climate change as voodoo, when his source was "Junk Science", a propaganda page written by Exxon oil lobbyist Steven Milloy. Want to make claims like that, quote primary sources, not specious BS like Milloy's paid advertisement for why we should ignore what is patently obvious.
As for your post, it was pretty funny I thought!

...?
I've been called many things, but unopinionated is not one of them.
I look good by making fun of people who predictably argue along partisan lines ad naseum and do not realize that they are merely two peas in a pod, who deserve each other.
My opinions are strong. I'll be sure and chime in plenty in the future.

R&R vs Yonivor
The big difference there is that I encourage people to go and find out for themselves from primary sources, whereas Yoni pats them on the head, says "let me assure you", and then quotes from poisoned, biased tertiary sources with no credibility. He uses all the dirty tricks of Limbaugh while I try to argue from sense, reason, and evidence from the largest and most respected scientific institutions in the world.
I am left-leaning, but calling me partisan is a misnomer. I don't argue from a political perspective, I argue from reason. I understand and respect the imperatives of economics, but I temper them with social and environmental values not accounted for by the market. I also have an open mind and change my opinions as others show me better evidence or methods for acting in the world. At least where the environment is concerend, Yoni and people like him pull crap out of their arse and label it truth, that's what I object to.

Oh, and I love the way people like me, trying to spread the real environmental message, are somehow controlling some massive conspiracy involving 10s of 1000s of scientific institutions/corporations, hundreds of governments, etc. (including the US govt and CIA) who believe the evidence for e.g.w. is conclusive, while the guys with the REAL POWER, represented by Yonivore and his best friends in big business, are ACTUALLY the ones in almost complete control of the system!? :bang :rotflmao

no i'm just a little taken aback that you would actually take the time to type "how you say" in the middle of a sentence...it seems so stereotypically fraunch

and that's FRENCH not fraunch
and I'm far from your stereotype. :angel
