Since I'm not married, you can stop reading now since I am going to make a joke based on events around the forum.

Whatever you do...don't make a post saying you made sweet love to your woman on a message board.

Marry me BIOTCH!

How about that, I thought yours would've been a palm full of kibble and the promise of a nice, close shearing.

I think my first one went something like, "We have an appointment with the JOP this Saturday at 3:00, bring $75.00."

I highly don't recommend that. :spin

Ring in the box, take a knee, pop the question. Maybe cook a special dinner before hand. My opinion has always been that getting engaged is special enough in its own right that you don't have to go reinventing the wheel to make it memorable.

Whoever proposes to katy is going to have to come strong.

He's also going to have to come up with a good marriage proposal, too.

I was searching for our marriage proposal story because I know I posted it before.

I thought it was in this thread
http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12849&page=1&pp=26&highlight=Ellis+story+part

which explains how we met, but it isn't there.

Anyway, I agree with this ...

though LJ did do a lot of extras things to make it romantic.

Coming strong is serious business.

Would beer work? If so, I should try it on a random hot chick.

But in seriousness, I agree with prior posters about just kneel down, show ring, and ask. Just don't sit on a couch with her and a beer, and start talking to her like you want her to marry you, only to be telling her how you feel about the beer. She may drive away.

Cuming strong is serious business.

in that case....I'm your man, baby!!

Mine went like this... "My dad says it's cheaper to keep her so you wanna get married or what?"

My proposal was excellent, and involved a great deal of research and coordination.

1. Location
2. Context
3. Set-up
4. Execution

Hopefully you also did your research in determining the correct ring.

I checked out Kori's thread and theknot's suggestions but there all just basic romantic things. I know she'll say yes, but i want it to be out of this world, yet i don't want her to suspect it ahead of time..............

Whatever you decide to do, I think the consensus is that strippers would be a bad idea.

Consensus must mean majority, because it certainly isn't unanimous.

Hard to go wrong with a simple, low key proposal.
