As reported by WOAI-TV, Beno did not travel with the team for the Dallas/Laredo games after banging his knee again in practice today. His MRI shows the original injury is healing fine though.

Well, that didn't take long. I guess this means the Spurs MUST keep Perry now.

Dammit it all again!!
Why don't these machos wear full-length, semi-wrap around, foam knees pads??
Somebody posted a picture last year of no less than Earvin Johnson wearing them.

WTF is up with this guy? He's living up to his rep as a china doll as I feared. Did he really bang it so badly that he couldn't play 15 min. in a preseason game?

Not a good sign. Kind of kills the teams depth a bit if this keeps up.

he's going to end up being illusive, he plays good for a couple of games and hes down again. This isn't good at his age. He's 22yo and hes getting injured constantly, if this doesn't pick up it could spell a short career.

I think that it's probably no big deal. The Spurs probably just want to give Perry more playing time and at the same time make sure Beno is totally fine for the regular season. I'm keeping hope that he's not really a china doll.

A funny thing in the last game is Beno fell to the ground after running into a player. It took him a couple seconds to get up, and when he did, he looked to the bench and put up his hand and said to leave him in the game. The coaches were like "WTF, why would we take him out of the game?"
:rollin
The Spurs need to find a way to make this guy tougher.

seriously, man that shocking. Beno is soft. It's official.
I can't view any preseason game but is he aggresive with the ball? Is he reckless at all?
Or is he soft in the way he plays as well?

The way he plays isn't soft at all. He fearlessly drives the lane. He goes for loose balls and rebounds. I just think he has been hurt so much in the last two years, that he's constantly in fear of getting hurt.

Well that is good to hear. I'm hoping he regains the confidence, if he truly lacks the confidence in his body to take a hit it would impact on his game.

What type of injuries has Beno sustained? Has he ever been seriously hurt or have they all been of the sprain and bruise variety?

Beno needs to start packing some Man-Up in his man-purse.

Keep Perry for insurance.

Provided he gets waived, do we have this guy's cell number?
