Many people here questioned this "outrageous" claim by EL COMANDANTE.

But they were blind by the red,white and blue and did not see that the USA team NEVER had a chance. I mean they NEVER even had a decent game the whole tourney.

It's not like USA feels entitled to win the FIBA WCs. They have only won it twice (1986 and 1994) since 1970. Whether with Pro or Amateur players, the FIBA games/rules are different enough to keep the Americans a bit out of their element.

I still havent quite digested the loss to spain but in any case a greece vs arg matchup, would be very hard fought, but i think most bookies would give argentina the better odds. I think greece will beat spain, but only if they are without gasol (like in euro 05). And i probably will get some satisfaction from spain leaving yet another tournament empty handed, getting to play the US despite not getting to the final is a little bonus too :spin
