NBA.com - The Memphis Grizzlies announced on Saturday that Pau Gasol will require surgery to repair a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.

The injury was suffered late in the fourth quarter of Spain's victory over Argentina in the semifinals of the FIBA World Championship of Basketball. He will not play in the gold-medal game against Greece on Sunday

Sad. :depressed I feel sympathy for him. This could affect the upcoming season a lot for him.

Wow, I didn't realize he'd be out that long. That sucks. It didn't look like much when it initially happened.
