The Cleveland Cavaliers signed 13-year veteran guard David Wesley to a contract on Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"David adds a wealth of experience and professionalism to our team," Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said. "His defense, shooting and toughness will add to areas that we want to continue to grow this year."

The 6-foot-1, 203-pound Wesley averaged 9.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game in 71 contests with the Houston Rockets last season. The 35- year-old veteran has played in 914 career games (791 starts) with averages of 12.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.

Wesley currently ranks ninth among active players in career three-pointers made with 1,114 and joins Moses Malone as the only two undrafted players in league history to score over 11,000 career points.
