Said thanks to all the Spurs fans who gave him props and support this summer.

He's on his way to Italy today and hopes to be back in Spurs summer league again next summer.

Good luck, Noel.

In case anyone cares, I talked to Noel Felix today on the phone (yes, he's in Italy).

I got him updated on who the Spurs are bringing into camp, etc. His season starts on Oct 3rd (and his birthday is the 4th). He's very excited about his team and his teammates. And he wishes the Spurs the best of luck on their way to the 2005 Championship. He hopes to play great this season and have another shot at making the Spurs roster next summer.

It's too bad he didn't hang around a bit longer he probably would have got an invite to camp..

Kori and Timvp at the RMR did you see Matt Neilsen play and what were your impressions he should have been on the Nuggets squad.

I liked what I saw. He has awesome touch around the basket and is very skilled overall.

The problem is he doesn't really have a position. He's not fast enough for small forward and he's not big enough for power forward. However, if a team can hide him on defense then he'd be a good spot role player.

Thanks, I'd agree with that too. He did put up some pretty good numbers I thought he would have got an invite to camp but he signed in Europe, somewhere in Italy.

Next season, the Spurs will bring in some freshness with International experience to the front court with the likes of Felix, Scola and maybe this guy

But hey, that's the "farm system" and this Spurs team is deep with talent!

Spot on. Neilsen gets found out in the NBL when trying to play PF as he's not physically strong enough to bang away so it'd be worse in the NBA.

Best of luck to Felix.

Sounds like a great guy and I wish him only the best.

Hope to see him get another shot next summer with us preferably but at least with some team.
