Brian Brohm Louisville QB had 278 yards passing at halftime.

That is insane unless you are playing against the school of the blind and deaf.

Temple's pretty close to that. I figured with a game against Miami next week and without Michael Bush, they might only put up 42 or so, and that Temple would sneak in a TD.

That Brohm kid will play on Sundays.

Speaking of QB's, Wake looks like they can't get anything together against Duke without Ben Mauk, who broke his wrist (or arm, can't remember) last week against Syracuse. Duke got shut out by I-AA Richmond in week one, and now they're shutting out an ACC team? Damn.

edit - Forgot to mention that the Dookies are a 21 point dog in this one.

Wake won 14-13. You know who that Tereshinski guy is that held off Matt Stafford as starting QB at UGA? His brother plays TE for the Deacs and caught a TD pass.

Akron, who played Penn State so tough last week, came back and beat NC State on the last play of the game, less than a minute after the Wolfpack scored a TD to take the lead. The Zips were a 8.5 point dog.

OU just got cuaght with their pants down against UW. That run was what, 55 yards?

Also, you can catch the end of this crazy Purdue - Miami (OH) game on ESPN360.

Frickin Michigan is on the verge of not covering the spread.
HTF do you let the Central Michigan Chippewas score 17?

I am really hoping for Penn State to upset ND.

Purdue gave up 28 points in the 2nd half to MIA-OH, then blocks a Redhawks FG with ten seconds left to force OT.

LOL - I was going to put an edit in the post and wasn't paying attention. This ESPN Gameplan kicks ass, but trying to watch multiple games on TV and one over the computer while posting on the board isn't going to win me any awards.

HAHA Im actually working, following online and watching TV on my breaks and lunch, and posting on the board. What can I get for that?

Looks like Quinn is having a good day.
He was suckin until I messaged Dio cause he drafted Brady Quinn in the Dynasty League (we got to select 1 college player). After I messaged him saying the hype got to Quinn cause he can't do shit. Quinn then started to go off and make good passes and such.

It's Kentucky.

And yes, I expected to not be shutout.

Wasson is not very good, he is tryin to be Nealy and it will never work out. Tx State coach was a dumbass to decline Bomar.

Bailiff runs a good program and he didn't want Bomar ruining that.

I can totally understand that and was glad he turned him down.

Josh, just go and ask people that were around for the Manny-Cats and how different the program is now.

Ask about the Classy Cats scandal. Ask about Manny's HD and why the university destroyed it and refused to release any information about its contents. Ask about Manny and his brothers' exploits in The Square.

Then come back and tell me Bailiff isn't trying to keep the ship right.

Wasson doesn't have near the arm Barrick did, so defenses are going to be able to stack against Jolly and the RB corps. I don't mind a running QB, I just want somebody that can throw it 50-60 yards, too.

Wasson doesn't give the running backs a chance, all he does is try to run.

OK Blaze, when is Texas State going to D-1A? And which conference would they wind up in?

OK Blaze, when is Texas State going to D-1A? And which conference would they wind up in?

Not in the next seven or eight years, that's for sure, if at all.

The football program would need sustained winning with a large increase in fan support to even thik about making the stadium large enough to hold the required 25K or so for D-1A.

There had been rumors of a new Southwest Conference, in fact, a Web site domain name that would work for a new SWC is actually owned by Texas State University.

The more and more I think about it, though, would it actually be greatly beneficial to go D-1A? I mean, it's not like there's a serious chance anybody from a non-BCS conference (especially since there's almost no chance the Bobcats could get into a BCS conference) will win a NC.

Why not stay at D1-AA and have the playoff atmosphere that we saw last year with everybody having a legitimate shot for a NC?

Notre Dame rolls penn. should be a great game against michigan next week, but michigan did give up 17 to central which does not bode well for them. Well at least notre dame will not go 1-4 in their first 5 like many on the board predicted.

does the college players stats actually count in the leauge or is it just drafting the rights to them when they get in the nfl?

UTEP covers - I go 3-3 this week. I'm not betting on any ND game the rest of the season.

Agreed.

They are D-1 in all other sports right?

Yes, and we were the worst team in the country in NCAA MBB last year.
