Randy Cross says this thread is like a thread in the College forum, which he believes is like a thread in the baseball forum, because it's like a thread in the Club.

Trent Green got JACKED UP!

Even though it probably should have been a penalty. He was sliding.

That's why I don't know about that rule. I can understand protecting the QB, but it's kind of hard to pull off a tackle when somebody surprises you and slides feet first.

Holy fuck, his head just snapped back on the turf really ugly.

Geathers was pushed into Green by Kennison, though.

Rex Grossman is looking sharp today for the Bears even if it is against, arguably, the league's worst team.

I'm glad I stayed away from Reggie Bush in my fantasy league. Since it's a non yardage scoring league, and it's a running back by committee type deal in NO, I would've been screwed. At least this season anyway. I'll also add that ours isn't a keeper league so there wouldn't have been any need to store him on my roster.

Jake Plummer and Jeff Wilkins won it for the Rams

wins a win.

So it was all Jake Plummer and no D from the Rams?

The defense is much improved over last year, thanks to some FA additions, some DECENT drafting, and good coaching by Jim Haslett.

I'm getting really tired of Time Warner.

I'm watching the pre-game show on NBC and they were showing the DAL-JAC highlights in FOXHD, but no, TWC doesn't want to pick up FOXHD.

This sucks not being able to see the game the best way possible.

And on another thought, do the new Campbell's Chunky commercials mean the entire Pittsburgh Steelers fall to the curse now?

Horry For 3!

Drew Bledsoe sucks

I can't believe that the talkies are all wondering if Romo should play instead of Bledsoe. These guys didn't even know who Romo was a month ago. I love Romo and am glad he is our future QB but ONE bad game and all the sudden he should replace Bledsoe?

Johnny_Blaze_47
09-10-2006, 07:10 PM
And who the hell do they have in the control room and on the CG board in the NBC studios?

I'm willing to give them a break since it's the first game, but "Gren Bay Packers" and "Sterlings's"?

And while I like this John Williams music for Football Night..., it seems like it will get annoying by week 3.

But mostly I was just bitching about these guys on Fox and NBC who talk about Romo like they even knew his name a before the preseason.

About the Bucs, I really didn't. I almost started BAL's defense, but figured the Bucs would at least be able to move the ball enough to score something.

Ol' Brett should have retired two years ago. Then he should have retired last year.

He was a great competitor in his prime, but it's clear the game has passed him by and I think he's hurting GB more than he's helping now.

samikeyp
09-10-2006, 10:54 PM
I would agree....they should be trying to prepare Brooks. Sometimes, you have to cut people loose for the good of the team. It's sad, especially with a competitor like Favre but sometimes...its a neccessity.

Melmart1
09-10-2006, 11:22 PM
I am damn tired of hearing about Brett Favre. I have always liked him but he should have retired. Any shit he takes from fans or press is well-deserved this year.
