I thought it was pretty funny myself.

The problem i didnt pick up with Cu is that the players were recruited to run a slow death run offense with two tight ends, but Hawkins wants to implement the spread. The buffs are learning a new offense that is a polar opposite of Barnett, add to the fact that they have not found a stable qb to go with and tailor the offense to.

To say that colorado football is dead is wishful thinking. Nebraska went through the same thing. UT also had their 70-3 at one time and it was to California under the Mackolvich regime.

Football programs do bounce back. Colorado has been in this situation before. Bill MCcartney went through the same turbulence.

I still pick Cu to win the north since i have faith that they will put it together in time for conference play.

Actually.....Texas has never lost to California. The schools have played 4 times between 1959 and 1970 with Texas winning all four. I think you are referring to the 66-3 asskicking that UCLA put on the Horns.

That's all well and good, but NU never lost to a Div AA team, at home. It was their first triumph over a Division I-A opponent since 1984, and for only the third time in since the Division I-AA classification formed in 1979. It was MSU's first win over a BCS-level school since that system began a decade ago. MSU is now 3-24 all-time against I-A opponents, with both of the previous wins coming over Fresno State (35-31 1984; 30-26 1981).


OSU barely beat Montana State last year in Stillwater 15-10, and it was one of our only 4 wins. Have a fun year.


P.S. As an extra added bonus, blaming the coach and scheme for you downfall, let's not forget you lost the last 4 games of last season by a combined score of 32-149. In your last 6 games dating back to last year (all losses), you have scored 8.67 points a game.

Actually...you are pretty close. They were 10-2 that year, one of the 6 10-win seasons in UCLA history. The only better record they had was a 10-1-1 in 1982 and a 10-1 record in 1947.

except that was at the end of the mackovic regime which they quicklyh turned around once they brought in a new coach. the other 2 you are describing were at the beginning of new coaching regimes. Nebraska has yet to recover and our sheep loving friends to the south are dying a slow death as well. so colorado is probably fucked.
