I read a report in the South Florida Sun Sentinel this morning that indicated Derek Anderson had been waived by the Heat. I just wanted to get your opinions on it.

Any chance the Spurs pick him up?

He's made his point. I say the Spurs cave in and increase their offer.

This has CIA Pop's fingerprints all over it. You think that they salary dumped Rasho for when Timmy, Manu, and Tony's contracts came up? It was to make sure they had room to lock this guy up for the long haul. They don't want another three year championship draught like the one that happened when they missed their chance to sign him the first time around.

*whispers* I think it was only a 1 year drought.

??? He walked away in 2000, Spurs didn't win until 2003. He was under contract with the Blazers in 2004. I'm strictly referring to opportunities to sign him as a FA.

Or are my dates wrong? I'm too lazy to do any fact checking today.

He walked in 2001, after that horrible Laker mashing.

DA with us? Heeeeeell, no. Those bridges burned long ago, and we are much the better for it! :D

You're right, I mean all we talk about is the Stability and Depth of this line up right? We talk about ,1-15, our team being the deepest right? WRONG. Anderson may be done, or he may have something in the tank worthy of a veteran min...it's not like we're getting Bonzi Wells w/ that. You're sold on Melvin Sanders or Summer League scraps?

These are the reasons I posted it. Judging by the responses, most people don't think it'll happen, but that's what I wanted to know. So fuck off, I'll post what I want.

I often wonder how those playoffs would have ended up if that jerk Juwan Howard had not undercut DA. :depressed
