Luckily, I'm working the sports desk tomorrow night.

That, and I don't have NBATV or a TIVO at home.

Maybe I'll watch and then turn it off after Timmy's shot.

Someone record where the clock ran long on Tim's shot.

[Just heading this off before we get a 14-page thread debate]

I don't think I'm a good enough shot to get you in the balls.

I'm gonna watch this game in my living room while having a root canal performed on me and while my girlfriend is having sex with my sworn enemy in the next room.

I'd rather masturbate with sandpaper instead of watching that game again. :madrun

If you wouldn't mind, I'm going to steal that one for use outside the forum. :lol

I already have an e-copy of this game. The whole thing was great up until that last 2 minutes

I don't have NBATV and I will be working. Good thing I won't be watching.

Im canceling my NBATV subscription

Thats how far away I want to stay away from that game

P.S
Remember when they showed that game the very next day on Classic as an "instant classic"

DAMMIT! I can't seem to turn the damn thing off! There is some comfort, albeit very little, in knowing that the "dream team" Lakers got their asses handed to them by the Pistons. Tony's game really has improved since then.

Nah, I just need a fix. I'm going to turn it off soon and switch to HBO.

1. Is "soon" before or after .4?

2. What's on HBO?

Would you rather watch a Karl Malone tribute marathon or the 0.4 game three times in a row?

I don't think I have seen 0.4 the whole game since I saw it live on t.v.

I remember seeing the replay over and over again though.

The Lakers losing in 2004 helped ease the pain of 0.4 for me and the 2005 NBA Championship completely made up for it.

:lol So...did that do the trick? We end up winning the second time around?

This is the first time I've seen the game again since it was played out on national TV. Can't help to think there were so many missed opportunities in that game...

Like Horry missing a wide open 3 pointer with a minute to go in the game.... or with Parker and Turkoglu taking ill advised 3 pointers 5 seconds into the shot clock.... on the play before.... Or that 3 of Devin Brown's shots were nullified by the officials...

All I know is we better win the whole shebang this year... or else... OR ELSE!!! (in my best Homer Simpson impersonation)

that would really suck if they showed game 4 against the lakers in 2002 right after the spurs game. :depressed DAMN YOU HORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i saw the end (last 5 minutes). i can still remember saying over and over "it's not over yet, play good D". watching it again, i think manu played pretty good D. like shaq said, one lucky shot deserves another.

btw, don't forget that the spurs could have one the last two games to win the series. it's not like nobody else has ever done that.

It was before. However, they showed the game this morning and, like a bad car wreck, I couldn't look away. It's when Timmy hits that shot at the end that I feel like I've been hit in the stomach. It's so hard to deal with when you know what's next.

2. What's on HBO?

Bill Maher.

I couldn't help myself. I watched it, and it still hurt like a dull ache not the sharp shellshock pain that I felt the first time, but PAIN nonetheless. :depressed

However, I was very proud of Timmy being a man to take that impossible shot. My sister taped the game and stopped it after Timmy's shot. That's the way it should have ended. I blame someone new now. Doc Rivers had just declared that we won in the most improbable way possible.

Then came that stupid cheating lucky shot..... :madrun

I still have this game on tape. As a matter of fact, I watched it just a few short months ago.

Despite the outcome, it was a great ballgame.

Look at the bright side. Imagine how much worse it would have been if Horry's GW attempt in game 5 of '03 had gone in, instead of going in and out!

IMO, that would have been worse as it would have meant the Spurs would have lost after blowing close to a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter.

I'd rather slowly be rolled into a carpet of nails than either
