I have meet many celebrities and if I was to meet up with kobe I would not be disrespectful eventhough he is a laker……… He has skillz no doubt, but I take issue more with his selfish style of ball rather then just his personality……..

I find that most celebs expect @ least some recognition so I try to squeeze by with the minimum……..

:lol Well, perhaps my reaction may be overexcited because I rarely run into any celebrities. The only athletes I've seen/met are Iverson, Eddie Jones, and Eric Dejarden (used to play for the Flyers...)

To even the people I dislike tremendously, I always treat them with respect. I don't get too excited seeing celebrities, or anyone for that matter. They are just people.

Now, if I had a chance to be embarrased by a pro athlete, I mean, play against a professional athelete, than that would be cool. But I still wouldn't freek.

A lot of player are arrogant...Iverson..Barkley etc.

But they have the guts to say what they mean. You have Kobe who acts completely smug, arrogant etc. on the court, and then gets on the mic and puts on that big phony smile and talks about his teammates (who he probably never talks to) and the respect he has for the opposing team.

I just can't stand the dude.

Hell..I remember an interview Manu Ginobili gave after at halftime of a Denver/Spurs game during last years playoffs (im sure you all remember more than I do). During the interview, he called Denver a poor defensive team, criticized his own play during the last couple of minutes, and actually made an insightful comment about the second half.

He came across as a bit arrogant...but I really liked the interview. So much that I still remember it a year and a half later! Probably because it was the most honest thing I had heard in a long time.
