I have several and enjoy a vast variety of great books, but I always like hearing what other people are reading or consider favorites. I will start.

2 of my favorite books by Daniel Quinn, Ishmael and The Story of B. Both are great reads and I highly recommend to anybody looking for a meaningful read.

What are yours?

I love anything by Catherine Coulter, but until she comes out with her new book, I've mostly been reading business books. The most recent is The Long Tail by Chris Anderson

William Diehl. He wrote Primal Fear which is the first of a "trilogy" of sorts dealing with the character Aaron Stampler who was played brilliantly by Edward Norton in the movie version. I travel a lot so I find myself reading "airplane" books all the time. So anything Patterson, Crichton, Brown, they are all entertaining.

I was impressed with myself when I was looking over how many books I had read on my bookshelf the other day. I patted myself on the back and said, "I bet people are really impressed that you read all of those books, you should pat yourself on the back".

Long story short, Frankenstein.

Oooh, just thought of another. I can't remember the title because it's been a couple of years but it's the life and times of Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight title holder. He was Mike Tyson about 80 years before Tyson was born. Good stuff.

It is somewhat unbelievable and you want tp slap the protagonist's face and tell him to stop fucking up, but it is entertaining.

I've never read that many but i've started to get somewhat motivated to read a few more classics or critically acclaimed books the last few years.

I REALLY liked the Satanic Verses by Rushdie. I had to read that thing slow though for a lot of it to sink in.

I read Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Rushdie and liked it a lot. It is quite different than his other books, as it is sort of a children's book, but can be read on different levels.
