Why the hell do the Miami Heat get the DVD star treatment when they win the championship? I wish the Spurs got this kind of coverage when they won their championship! That would have been sweet to own. Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs in full 7 game glory. :depressed

because the only people that would buy said DVD would be san antonio spurs fans, of which there are only a fraction in comparison to the miami heat?
business is about money.

Money is definately a factor. Yet why make it such a big deal considering that this is Miami's first championship. The Spurs franchise has already 3 titles under their belt. I'm just hoping that the NBA can wise up and do a collection of DVDs of all their championships.

That means that if the Spurs won the championship this coming season... are we fans to expect the same treatment...
The league has set a precedent they'd better keep.

Duh. It's their first championship! The first one is always a big deal.
And they have a much larger fan base.
And no-one likes the Spurs... :depressed

I'd sure be curious to see just how many of these will sell outside of florida, which don't have any real fans per se anyway
