I don't have nba tv. but I can watch my championship DVD.

Didn't they have that game on before the Tip of Luncheon started last year? I know they had it on at the Alamodome before the Celebration ceremony began. :)

They did show it before the luncheon and at the dome. It just never gets old. :spin

Seriously?

I mean both were great but Game 7- that was amazing!

I like them both equally.

Horry going super-saiyan == Fairy tale ending on our own court.

Horry was explosive on games 5 and 7 and made it where it counted the most.. but Duncan's consistent numbers and leadership gave him his 3rd playoff MVP.. did you see how he took over the third quarter in gm 7? Just amazing

Game 7 was great dont get me wrong, but game 5 there was more than just a game to me. we had gotten pitifully blown out games 3 and 4, I was losing faith, and then at the end of the 3rd quarter Horry hit that first three and started piling it on... it was just so awesome when he hit that last three for the W - inexplicable excitement.

to me, when we won game 7, it was like a load left my shoulders. I knew it was ours. I just personally hate how so many people think manu should have got Finals MVP - in my opinion, it was clearly Tim's.

I guess NBA TV was feeling a little guilty about re-airing the .4 game and is making it up to us.

Favorite moment?

Mine is Tim hitting the baseline shot when Prince went to double team Manu late in the fourth. I thought it was a three at first, since I was watching it at Hooters and the audio was difficult to hear with everyone cheering for Detroit. When Tim hit that shot I knew it was all over.

Game 5 to me was more exciting.

But, game 7 does clinch the title and is on the Spurs homecourt.

Both great games for Spurs fans. Both very disappointing for Pistons fans.

No worries, Pistons fans. As the season approaches, I'm sure they'll show a game or two from the ass-whooping you gave the Lakers in 2004.

Yea. I've been watching basketball since about the 02 season, but in 04 was the year I got so interested in the history and stats etc., And I already knew the Lakers were our enemies, and when they knocked us out and went to the finals I was so pissed cuz I thought they were gonna win the championship with Malone and Payton additions. And when the Pistons mangled them and got the championship I was so happy and ever since they have been one of my favorite teams. But in the next year when we faced them, well..... somebody had to lose and no team comes first before my Spurs! But I do hope they play a Pistons-Lakers finals game.

FYI, according to my cable guide game 6 comes on at 11 am Sunday, too... but my cable guide has been known to be wrong.

Ouch. That was soooo painful. I couldn't look at the sports page for an entire month. :bang :( :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry
And dayum LB...why'd you have to put skinny, 6'9 Tay on not-so-skinny, 6'11 Timmy????? :depressed

Yep - that shit never gets old! I still get tense at the end, even though I know how it turns out. It really amazes me how different Manu was that season vs. last season. How he could completely lose his hops in just a few months is beyond me, but then I guess those injuries and the time off during the summer really did have a profound effect on him. I truly believe he has one more incredible all-star season in him.

And, of course, Bruce's block at the end of the game was just sick.

I could watch that over and over again! What I love is how Hubie Brown's pure hatred of the spurs seemed to vanish as the game went on! I think he was on the Spurs side for the whole last minute of the game! I Am ready for another run! GO Spurs Go in 07!

Well, we got ours this year watching Manu foul Dirk to let the Mavs tie and then watching the Spurs completely empty in the overtime. My TV didn't hit ESPN until mid July after that one (partially because there was nothing really worth watching as well).

If someone were to ask me 10 years ago that "the Spurs would win 3 titles in 7 years but lose to the Mavs in heartbreak fashion would you still go that path?" I would take yes in a heartbeat! Hell 10 years ago all I wanted was an nba championship.Having 3 is just amazing and we are still serious contenders as of now.

I agree, but it doesn't make losing to the Mavs in that fashion any easier at the time. Especially since I live in the Dallas area.
