My backyard sucks ass. Someone pulled out all the lillies in my channel (sort of a pond) near my pool because they were so overgrown, making it too difficult to clean the channel around them. The guy said he would be back to help me restock it, but never came back.
THEN a buddy of my hubbys came to do a repair on our pool. He power washed the natural rock (all around the pool and channel), drained the channel and pool, which was cool. He did a song and dance about, yep you guessed it, stocking my channel AND adding a filteration system. Oh, and he could do some tile work on the patio too, no problem.
Next day he came back to do the pool repair and afterwards the pump ran great for about the time it took for us to go the pool store and buy $178 worth of product so I could care for the pool myself. When we got back he hooked up the new vacuum and voila! the pump started working at 50% again He said there was a clog and he would have to come back another day to fix it. Never saw him again. I called twice. He's a buddy of the hubby's, you know....
SO, we spent
$400 to get the great washing and have the pool drained.
$178 on materials to use in the pool (he said he would show me how to use them, but didn't :oops
$177 on tile.
The only thing I got out of the deal was a great net--I had been using a hot tub net before, :lol and a big tub of chlorine tabs. The rest is useless.
There, don't I feel better!
