For the first part of this year I lived and worked in the Lakeland area and as our jobsite warranted full-time EMT support I got to know a number of firefighters and EMT's for Polk County including a couple the worked with Polk County SWAT.


Thoughts and prayers to Deputy William's family.


LAKELAND, Florida (CNN) -- Police said Friday they had shot and killed an accused cop killer who was hiding in thick wooded, brush after a massive two-day manhunt in Florida.

"Ladies and gentlemen, God will be the judge and jury this time," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, during a news conference.

Add this to that illegal fucker that shot the Houston cop while in the back seat of the cruiser a week or so ago. Gut pulled over for a traffic violation and put into the cop car. Pulls a gun and shoots the cop in the front seat.

I'm glad to hear that this peice of shit cop killer has been erased.

Someone who is willing to take the life of a peace officer is someone who doesn't care and wouldn't hesitate in taking the life of anyone else for that matter.

My dad is a cop and I have other family members and friends that are officers and Border Patrol Agents.

If anything like that happened to one of them I'd want the same thing for the criminal.

I read briefly about the Houston shooting and found it odd that (again, this is from what I remember reading) the shooter was placed in the back of the officer's car and then pulled a pistol from his waistband and shot him in the back of the head.

I think they've admitted the officer either did not search the guy adequately or skipped it all together. He made a mistake.
