Just thought I'd put this out there because of the two CD related topics. If you're looking for cheap music, check out www.allofmp3.com. Entire CDs for under $2.

I know a lot of people do torrents and what-not, so this doesn't apply to you. Mainly for the itunes, etc. buyers.

It's legal because it's based out of Russia, and doesn't fall under US copyright laws. All good files - no garbage. No spam. Just cheap music.

I've probably gotten upwards of 50 albums from the site, and never had a problem. It actually used to be cheaper - like .90 an album - but I guess the war and hurricanes drove up the prices.

allofmp3 is being hounded and chased by the RIAA because they aren't paying royalties. If you are looking for "legal ground" this is pretty fucking shaky. You might as well torrent as far as the music establishment is concerned.

Actually it's even more so because they are charging for it.

If you read the conditions on their site you'll realize that it is legal for them to have a server with music on it and charging you for "the cost of the encoding" because it seems to be a grey area in Russian legislation, but it is still up to the laws of your country whether or not you can download copyrighted material without paying for them. That makes it illegal for the majority of us.
