Okay, last game of the season, last day of the Championship.
In the two-week final, I finally got ahead of ERA (which gave me a 6-4 lead) and started benching my struggling relievers. I've got a choice to make. I have three starters I can play today (Smoltz, Jaret Wright and Jason Schmidt).
Should I bench any combination of the three (my opponent has Javier Vasquez going)? My lead on ERA is 4.64 to 4.84. The only other category which could switch the championship (I think) is WHIP. He leads 1.31 to 1.52.
Other stats are: Me vs. New Yattle
Runs: 80 to 69.
HR: 31 to 17.
RBI: 93 to 48.
SB: 5 to 10.
BA: .315 to .343.
W: 10 to 5.
SV: 3 to 6.
K: 116 to 84.
ERA and WHIP above.
BTW, this is that funky league I spoke of at the beginning of the season (we all chose two teams and could only have players that have played at least one game for those major league teams. For example, I am the only person that could have Konerko on my team since I had the Braves and the Dodgers on my roster.
