Yeah, the Bears are gonna go to 8-0.

Their schedual gets really easy.

I know on the 16th they play the Cardinals on monday night football, so thats a gimme....

Bears IMO are gonna take it all this year.

Very very similar to the 2000 Ravens.

I'm on the Bears bandwagon this year since they drafted Danieal Manning, the only player from my school to ever be drafted by an NFL team.

Bears upcoming schedule: (in bold are games they might actually have to show up to win)

5 Sun, Oct 8 Buffalo
6 Mon, Oct 16 at Arizona
7 BYE WEEK
8 Sun, Oct 29 San Francisco
9 Sun, Nov 5 Miami
10 Sun, Nov 12 at NY Giants
11 Sun, Nov 19 at NY Jets
12 Sun, Nov 26 at New England
13 Sun, Dec 3 Minnesota
14 Mon, Dec 11 at St. Louis
15 Sun, Dec 17 Tampa Bay
16 Sun, Dec 24 at Detroit
17 Sun, Dec 31 Green Bay

Bears could go undefeated, the next 4 games are jokes while they have 3 straight road games in Nov. If they win those they might just run the table and go 16 and 0.

The Eagles tailback from the Miracle at the Meadowlands game back in the 70's was an ACU alum.

I saw the NFL Films 25th anniversary of the game fairly recently and he was featured. (Don't ask how I remember stupid shit like this.)

Yeah my wife of all people informed me that I was wrong on that... I knew other ACU alumni had played in the NFL (Clint Longley) but though Manning was the first to be drafted.

I'm not even sure the Bears have to score 24. Their defense has allowed something like 2 touchdown drives and 1 of those was the Bills' drive for a score to cut the Bears' 40-0 lead in the 4th Quarter. That defense might get to the end of the road allowing fewer than 10-12 ppg, which would mean that the Bears need 24 a week only if they intend to blow out everyone they play. I still have some doubts about that offense staying multi-dimensional as a long-term proposition, but the Bears have shown that they are legitimate.

I know Carolina won in that situation last year, but against this Bears' team, I'm not sure anyone would be anxious to play a playoff game at Soldier Field in January.

fuck the bears. they have the most easy fucking schedule in the league. so far, every team they have beat are either crappy (buffalo, green bay), very crappy (detroit), or average and overrated (seahawks, minnesota). they play in a very shitty division too. they wont do shit in the playoffs. the Eagles will beat the shit out of them if they meet in the playoffs. that defense is so overrated. its good, in fact, very good, but not as good as people give them credit for being (comparing them to the 2000 Ravens, 85 Bears, etc...)

mark it now... the Bears WILL NOT get to the SB.

The Bears are beatable. The Vikings nearly beat them in week #3 without scoring an offensive TD.

They do look invincible in their other games. I admit that. So did the Colts, last season, and look how they ended. Dating back to the 80's, the Bears have lost numerous home playoff games when they were favored, including the game to Carolina last season.

The Seahawks, with a healthy Alexander, are still the favorites to come out of the NFC.

Grease spill wrecks Bears' season
Degenerate Texas gambler to blame

Originally posted October 9, 2006

CHICAGO -- A grease spill at the Chicago Bears practice facility has essentially ended the team's outstanding 2006 run.

At approximately 12:35 p.m., Bears' standout players Rex Grossman, Thomas Jones, Bernard Berrian, Mushin Muhammad, Olin Kruetz, Desmond Clark, John Gilmore, Brian Urlacher, Robbie Gould, Lance Briggs, Nathan Vasher, Charles Tillman, Adewale Ogunleye, and Tommie Harris all tore their respective anterior cruciate ligaments when the players slipped on the spilled cooking oil.

The players, along with coach Lovie Smith - blinded when the grease ended up in his eyes, will miss the remainder of the season.

"I don't know what happened," Grossman said. "One minute, we're being compared to the 1985 Bears and the next, some trainer opened up a Web site called 'SpursTalk.'"

Chicago will travel to Arizona for a game against the Cardinals Sunday evening.

fuck the bears again. they got so many lucky breaks as usual. as i thought, Grossman is a joke. put pressure on him, and he is complete garbage. if they meet a team like the Panthers, Eagles, or Saints in the playoffs, they will get murdered. wait until they play the patriots this season. Bellichick and Brady will completely expose that weakass secondary, and Grossman's inability to handle pressure.

Maybe the Bears can play more than 2 teams with records over .500, or that aren't missing an MVP in the second part of the season.

Great defense I'll admit, but until their offense plays another good defense I'm going to say they're overrated.
