View Full Version : How do I create a .DPT file?

I'm looking to have some embroidery done and the place I found says I can give them the image as a .DPT file and they can do it. In all my searching, I haven't found a program that will save an image as a .DPT file.

Can anybody help out, please?

µVision2 Version 2.04 or higher supports direct import of DAvE 2 project exchange files
(*.DPT). You may import DAvE DPT files in the following ways:
•= Use the Project – Open Project dialog and specify the name of the DPT file.
•= Double click in the Windows Explorer on a DPT file.

DPT is the file extension for the Publication file associated with Publish-It!.

I downloaded and tried Publish It!, but I can get the image to save as a DPT file.

I've never heard of that file extension.

What company is telling you this? They should format the file for you if they're going to use such a file. Lazy bastards.

I figure it was partly because the cost is so low. The place I went to had good stuff on display, but I'm probably just going to call them tomorrow to find out what the setup fee would be for me to have them convert the file over.

We didn't need it, but Sam Hassan can color digitize your artwork to be embroidered or screened. No need for a specific file format, just standard image file or even a hard copy.

Actually, that's exactly the place I went to (the location at Medical and Fredericksburg) and it was the lady at the counter who told me they needed the file.

She seemed really helpful, though, so I will give her a call tomorrow.

Back in Feb, Sam had a blond lady working there, nice figure, late 30s, slim, tight jeans, a lot of cosmetics, and LOTS of cleavage showing, way too firm to be natural at her age, viewable from across the room. :lol

She had no vistor's chair in front of her desk, so I stood there, and she tried to type on her PC with one hand, and the other hand covering her cleavage! WTF?? :lol

Why dress like that if you don't want anybody to look?

And how could I not look, my 6'3" looming over her seated 3ft from me? :lol

This was her Feb attire, wonder what it's like in summer? :lol

btw, they do good work, but like with anything, you gotta watch them. Sam can be a little scatter brain. :lol

Sometimes people, usually male type people, fail to see that there is a slight difference between wanting someone to look, and wanting someone to stare/drool.

Having said that, however, she may have just been a manipulative tease. Hard to say. Either way, it seems to have been effective.
